Maestra's Highlights

  For ten years, an immersive, mixed media show has surprised and delighted Columbia audiences with a genre-fluid blend of dance, visual art, multi-media projections and classical and contemporary music. It’s called Ensemble Eclectica!, and this year, the ensemble celebrates a decade of unbridled creativity with its Aug. 29 production, “Ten: Anniversary Gala,” at Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College. 

 Park ICM's Valentine's Concert has become a community favorite. Produced in collaboration with the Main Street Parkville Association and conducted by Suzanna Pavlovsky, founder, and Artistic Director of Ensemble Eclectica! and Palmetto Chamber Orchestra.  

 For Columbia-based orchestra conductor extraordinaire Suzanna Pavlovsky, music is as important as the air she breathes, and she has dedicated her life to sharing its magic with others. Maestra Pavlovsky, more informally known as Suzanna, says of the role of music in her early life, “The piano was at home when I was born. I was poking on the keys when I was 1 and started formal lessons with my mom when I was 4 years old.”
